    • And a fine breakfast it was too, thanks to BB and OCW, only slightly messed up by me sitting in the wrong Hilton for a while, and then having to run to catch the flight home (made it with 10 minutes to spare).

So still plenty to catch up on, but next time let there be Joshua Trees and Tequila. Good luck with the footie.

    • We've had a great time, and seen many sites, and sat at many cafes. Montmarte, Sacre Cour & the Eiffel Tower yesterday. Versailles the day before. Chateau Vincennes day before (Charles V in 1350 or so). Day of comparing macarons and walking around recently.

Chunneling to London tonight. Meeting Alick for breakfast tomorrow. Hoping to go to Tottenham Hotspur game tomorrow. Champions League qualification possibility; if we win and the bastard Arsenal loses.

    • Gene, Nashville had their 17 year colony in 2008 and their 13 year colony in 2011. They are like post Xmas living room pine needles- you keep finding carcasses in nooks & crannies for a year or two post-colony.

      Big T

    • BB, do they sell Oui in France? I hope you and OCW had a heavenly time. IOP is around the corner and SE Crumbs would be foolish to hit the grave without a peek. I hear Cracker has a 6 hour set planne dand are opening and closing with Sineola Cowboys and Blue Danube. A show of the Century thing with free unicorns for everyone that shows proper licenseship and vaccinations. Free Unicorns (not too shabby). Crumblove 360!

    • News for the non-FB Crumbs.....a kickstarter campaign began for the film about David/Cracker, CVB, etc. and the trailer is up on kickstarter. Even if you don't end up pledging, the trailer provides 5 minutes of zen

    • I've been reading a bit about the impending onslaught of the cicada emergence, and was wondering whether this once-every-17 years phenomenon is limited to the northeast, where it is expected to start in the coming weeks, or whether other areas of the country (or the world) will experience a similar phenomenon. They last emerged here in 1996, the year my oldest son was born. It seems so long ago (so much has changed!).

    • Not looking like Boston is going to happen for us. Bummer.

Glad to hear those globetrotting Weiss's are enjoying themselves in the UK. Have you two mastered the accent yet?

    • Not run ragged at all. We've taken our time this time. Been here a week. Chunnel to UK on Saturday.

    • Beachbum and Ellie must be run ragged, but in a good way!

Kday, not sure yet. It's baseball season, and it may not be possible. Working on it though. Will be in touch as plans for the weekend become more certain.

    • GOOD GRIEF. We've been to Louvre (Napoleon 3 apartments); Conceirgerie, Saint Chapelle, Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, L'Orangerie (Modigliani). Riding the Metro is a blast, since you can get anywhere. Going to Vincennes today.
