| Pretty good write up on LP in our local paper today. She gives David all the credit for 'finding' her and helping her along the way, ie producing and co-writing songs for her first album. She is performing in Dewey Beach, DE, on Saturday night at 'CHICKFEST'....Trying to go, but have some family coming in Sunday morning from down south and don't think I'm going to have time to get back from beach in time. Bummer, was really wanting to see her again. She will be doing more shows according to her myspace blog she sent out. |

I'm trying to book room(s) right now. Hope you had a great time in Atlanta (Gators always do in that venue!), see you at Pietown if not before. I do NOT see the tix or rooms on the Pitch-a-tent site. | Cool bands Morst - first Man Man and then Citay. I love Citay's chord progression, sublime guitar work and soft feminine voices. Cheers for the link. Slight problem here with the Pitch A Tent Site - it doesn't let me order tickets. I'm having a server error and can't get beyond that. I'm eager to see Citay and the other cool bands at the festival but my computer won't let me, or it isn't compatible with the Pitch A Tent site. If I do have to become a member, how do I go about it because it doesn't want me to log on to that either. Technology is the biggest bane of my life. Thanks for any help you can offer. |

I've found that if I scroll that tab to the top of the browser window and 'tuck' it under the top edge of the window the video shows fine. Kind of works with some of the audio players on myspace and archive that come up funny on my firefox too. |

Speaking of 'first show' it wasn't my first show but while stationed in Norfolk, VA, I went to a Rolling Stones show, about 72 or so and Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band opened. That was the first time I ever heard of Bob and he really rocked that place. It was in Hampton Roads, great show. Someone was speaking of Alice Cooper. Saw him in Norfolk and Loggins and Messina opened....what a contrast, eh? |

The Theater show was excellent with very nice crowd to go with, Davids voice was very powerful since the boys have slacked off on dates and it was really warming to watch sal scan the crowd and light up like a child when he landed on a face that he had seen before. Looks like Johnny had waxed his axe too but it didnt take long to burn off as he thundered through his parts to those things i forgot to say sorry, and for all the things i said and shouldnt have well they very jokes anyway so laugh now. |

| Welcome back TerriYo! Nice to hear that Muddy was a good guy. When I was 16, my sister and I went to see Eric Clapton with The Muddy Waters band opening and while EC was very disappointing (this was during his "Wonderful Tonight" snoozerama) Muddy was great! We couldn't believe he was the support act though I'm sure it was a gracious gesture on EC's part, showing who had influenced him, etc. |

| Hey all-I am still around and kicking. Went back to work part-time the 1st (Happy belated BD Morstie!)Been a long year, but better times are coming my way. My condolences D-Dan. My first concert at 12 was Rare Earth and the James Gang (with Joe Walsh). Most stellar moment was at a club here when Muddy Waters played and only about 20 people were there. He and a band member sat with me and my ex-husband and we all talked and he was so kind and gracious (like Cracker boys) and had no delusions even though he was a legend. That is the type of person that can be called someone to look up to. Not some rehab turnstile, bed hopping loser like kids have now. Hugs.... T |

Sal was destroying on the bass adding freestyle bass solos and at times playing with his teeth while fire shot out of his hands. Although the fire could have been trails and his teeth could have been tiny daggers it was cool none the less. |

| My first shows were more than the typical child under 10 yrs old should have attended by todays standards of parenting. My father who used to be in the music business would take me to rock concerts before I really knew what music was (if that makes sense). My father passed away 5 weeks ago and I was telling my wife about all the shows that I went to and it was mind blowing now looking back. I saw the following as a child, I can't remember all the show details. Beach Boys with Steely Dan opening (I think they opened) Bee Gees Chicago (before the original lead singer shot himself) Springsteen Village People (yes...I know) Neil Diamond(somehow my mother snuck backstage, has pic of her and Neil) Billy Joel (in the 70's he was a shy performer, never left the piano) Had tickets to the Fleetwood Mac Rumors tour, show was cancelled. |

Can anyone say drum solo? Painful are the missed opportunities, Blondie and the B-52s at the aforementioned Grove, and CVB in 84 or 85 dollar night at the Catalyst, knew I should have gone but perhaps my current fervor is due to trying to make up for past failings and I'm lucky. |

| Trout, that sounds strait from When Irish Eyes R Burning, it doesn't matter if you're seventeen... it doesn't matter if you're 21, it doesn't matter if you're 33!!!!!!!!!!! My first concert.....Greg Khin Band Mendicino Community College Ukiah California around 8th grade 1980. They had kegs of beer in the back. I lost on Jeopardy. Most memorable was Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Robert Cray at Aplpine Ski Resort in Wisconsin. It was the Saturday show before SRV's untimely demise the following Sunday night. But what was memorable was the mens room had about an inch of, what appeared to be, a mixture of beer, water and urine on the floor. And shoes were bad enough but dudes were walking around wearing flip flops in there! Wierdest was Gratefuldead Rosemonst Horizon sometime in the eighties. Somehow U2 has escaped me, that's one I really want to see. Man all those bands back the seventies....Kansas, Boston, the Cars, Styx, the Eagles/Joe Walsh, Fleetwoodmac, ZZ Top, Van Halen... Aerosmith. For me it seems like the Stones and Steeley Dan are the only two that have washed out of those times into my current stuff I still listen to. |

Favorite memory of it was these two young ladies who were in like the 12th row on the floor (I was first row balcony at the side of the stage) pulling down the upper part of their tight dresses to reveal their bare breasts during "Jean Genie" (let yourself go). I was 15 at the time. Yes, ELO, Jethro Tull, Aerosmith and Styx followed that year. Guilty Pleasure: would have to be Pat Benatar (w/ Billy Squire) at the Cape Cod Coliseum (Summer of '82). I went with my older brother and already kickass venue parking lot was further enhanced when carload after carload of hot chicks came streaming in. During the show there was this one pack of girls in front of us on the floor and one was doing this animated sexy dance (I believe it was during "Promises in the Dark") and was pulling up her blouse and revealing her bra. At one point she danced right up to me and kissed me right on the lips. Her friends then pulled her away and that was the end of that. My brother til this day is still jealous about it. Where have those days gone, where have those days gone ... |

| Let's see...first concert - America 1976, second concert - KISS 1976 My parents had season tickets to ND Basketball and all of the concerts that came through northern Indiana stopped at Notre Dame. Season Ticket holders could buy tickets on a pre-sale basis. My brother and I were forth row fixtures for Aerosmith, AC/DC (with Bon), Boston, Ted Nugent, Journey, Chicago, Earth Wind and Fire, ZZ Top, Genesis, Ozzy, Def Leppard, Eric Clapton, Rush, Yes, Cheap Trick, Foreigner, Billy Joel, Steve Martin, The Fixx, Bruce Springsteen, REO, ELO, The Kinks, Crosby Still and Nash, Kansas, Styx, etc. The opening acts were interesting too - Sammy Hagar (post Montrose) warming up for Boston; Steve Goodman for Steve Martin; The Romantix for Terrible Ted; Krokus for Def Leppard; Bryan Adams for ZZ Top; The Fixx for Genesis. I still have the ticket stubs from all these shows and this list is only a portion of what we saw. I don't think we paid more than $12.00 for any of the shows and all without any Ticket Monster convenience fees. For example AC/DC - Aerosmith, in 1978, was $7.50. My last concert - Umphreys McGee. Upcoming shows for this summer- Rush, June 25th in Indy; Cracker, July 3rd in Hobart; and CSN, July 16th in South Bend. Concerts are cool - ROCK© On fellow Crumbs! |

Ice T-Body Count opened there they beefed serurity and the city wrote him a note stating that if we played cop killer he would be banned from ever playing in San Diego again because there would be riots. He said that was funny if we rioted the concert would end and there would be no refunds. Then he said good by San diego and told us to point and laugh at every security gaurd insight. then he played it... i think it was in 92 or 93 sold out jack murphy stadium. It was very good show. |

But thank you for the offer. I'll take a rain check, and get you a brew next time too. Anybody want to share a ride from the Mid-Atlantic? My first concert was Survivor. I won tickets in Jr High by out eating some frat boys. That was when I was a roller-skating foosball wizard. In Austin, the kids still roller skate on Friday night, and WEAR 60's- rock band t-shirts. Not much has changed. btw, I know because of my niece. I'm not the guy hanging out at the rink in Dazed & Confused. :/ |

| First actual concert - Eagles, July 3rd, 1977 in Houston. That was with my older sister and her husband but it didn't take me long to start going to anything I could...Warren Zevon, Ian Hunter, The Kinks, Elvis Costello, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, The Allman Bros, Little Feat, The Ramones, and the Clash followed in the next couple of years. Weirdest bill I saw early on: The Outlaws, Eddie Money, and David Mason (the latter is the only one I really liked but it was pretty impressive to watch the Outlaws triple lead guitarists swing their hair around in unison. Weren't the seventies fun?!) Kind of late reading the board today...my thoughts are with you this evening Dancin' Dan. |

Of course Susususudiodiodio and Invisible Touch pretty much stopped that from being a continuing Guilty Pleasure, but I still like Phil's 1982 Perkins Palace show that was broadcast on MTV. Speaking of OUTSKIRTS. . . you want Gimmicks? How about THE RESIDENTS!? Try [[Kettles Of Fish On The Outskirts Of Town]]!! Good playing and total anti-egoism, what with the total lack of identifiable "stars"!?! DUCK STAB ROCKS©! |

| hey Dancin Dan, sorry to hear the news of course, nice gift of music from her though, reminds me of my dad who introduced me to John Prine, Kris Kristoffersen, Pete Seeger, and way way too much classical which maybe someday, i'll listen to again. At least this next generation is really getting educated on the dangers of excessive sun exposure. My dad passed due to prostate cancer so mat provides the perfect segue for my annual psa to get your PSA checked. i went to high school in the golden age of "Toys/ROCKS" Aerosmith, up to Love Gun Kiss, Some Girls Stones, Damn the Tom Petty and Bon Scott AC/DC. I really feel bad for these young kids today what with their nicklebacks and all. |

Their first album (pre Neil Peart) I really liked - nice and raw, caress of steel, fly by night, 2112, hemispheres, farewell to kings, moving pictures, permanent waves all really rocked - and they were great live. Signals was different - they i kinda moved into the more progressive - REM, Oingo Boingo, Violent Femmes and such. |

| sid, if you want to hear some great johnny neal, check out "live from the outskirts" from cyril lance. as far as being older than most goes, i got you beat. when i was a little guy, my mom, rest her soul , dragged me around to shows featuring people like chuck berry, fats domino and even jackie wilson. i also got to see buck owens and porter wagoner when they were still able to do it right. these guys were good without gimmicks , fog machines or light shows. later on, the beatles, FZ , dylan and others from that era, raised the bar but it was still about talent and ability. good music doesn't require an "act". if you're good, you can walk on stage in your street clothes and just do your thing. you know, like cracker does. |

| jan in blue...yep, Sly and the Family Stone were rocking when I was in high school. Matter of fact, 'Higher' was our class song, tells you alot about the era I went to school. At one of our 'dances' Johnny Neal and the Shapes of Soul played Jesus Christ Superstar and were asked to leave after the set, panic and mayhem followed. YES, the same Johnny Neal who worked with 'Allman Bros.'...He is from my homestate of Delaware. I remember him playing all of the 'battle of the bands' and winning cause he had the 'keys' down pat. Oh, those were the days my friend, it's good that they ended cause I don't know where I'd be right now. |

IMHO I think I may be just a bit older than some on here so don't think I'm a complete 'loon', o.k. ? California Dreaming...that song just flows like butter on a hot summer Sunday. |

Yesterday I heard them on the radio and it brought back memories of childhood parody lyrics. . . St-t-t-t-t-tutter! So, since you already took them, I'll just mention that I fully enjoy the classic pre-planecrash Lynryd Skynyrd, although I don't want to hear free bird any more than I want to hear Stairway to Heaven.
